Preparing your questions

Networking contacts can provide you with an insider’s perspective, and you can ask them questions that might be inappropriate in an interview.

You can, for example, ask networking contacts to describe the more repetitious or mundane parts of the job, or ask them for a realistic idea of the salary associated with a position.

As a result, it is important to prepare questions for networking contacts ahead of time, so that your questions are focused and effective when you get the opportunity to ask them.
