Module 2 - Job Search
Unit 1: Researching careers
Collecting job titles
The job market is a complex and ever-changing environment. To successfully navigate its peaks and troughs, you need to approach the terrain with curiosity and a spirit of adventure. It can be useful to imagine your role as similar to that of an explorer or adventurer.
In the early stages of your journey your goal is to develop a list of possible occupations that might use your skills and education. To complete this task, look at computerised interest inventories, reference books, and/or classified advertisements.
Once you have created a list of jobs that you are interested in and qualified for, you will be in a better position to identify the organisations that employ people like you.
