Employees who choose to stay with a company will tell you its all about cultural fit. Lack of career opportunity was the main reason cited for staff leaving. the market position and reputation of the new employer were major drawcards. Managers and leaders need to know their staff in order to know best how to meet their needs. Unless these people are close to their staff, there is a strong likelihood of turnover. They need to be aware of each individual's five year plan, the types of projects and opportunities they seek, waht motivates them and know them well enough to be aware of their interests outside of work.
