Graduates entering the job market fot the first time need to ask themselves two big questions: what is their career plan, and what constitutes a good employer?
Each orgainsation has its own unique culture so it is really bout knowing yourself...think about what meets your needs. Find work in an area that interests you. While you may have to compromise on your career plan, you should never lose sight of it! Doing plenty of work experience is critical to develping self-awareness as well as an understanding of the type of work environment that best suits you. Look for employers that engage you emotionally and interlelctually.
target your applications: don't just send off hundreds of applications indiscriminantly. Think through where you want to work and why. Do your research.
