The Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) have advised that a webinar recording is now available on the FWO’s YouTube Channel covering workplace essentials for young workers and international students.
Please note the webinar recording will be available until 5 January 2026. We encourage you to share this recording with your students.
The webinar provided important information to help students understand their workplace rights and entitlements, including:
- minimum pay and conditions under Australian workplace laws
- how to identify and address common workplace issues
- where to go for help and further information.
FWO also have upcoming webinars which may be of interest to all students, including international students that they can register for:
- Common questions about the fast food, restaurant and café sector (11 November 2025)
- Workplace rights and entitlements for apprentices in the building and construction industry (19 November 2025)
Both the FWO and the department would appreciate if you could please ensure that this information is passed to international students to assist with raising awareness about their workplace rights and entitlements.?
