Apply for a NSW Department of Education’s future teacher scholarship. Successful recipients will be financially supported whilst studying and receive a permanent position in a NSW public school upon successful completion of studies. 

If you are an initial teacher education student, you could be financially supported to become a teacher. Applications for the NSW Department of Education’s future teacher scholarship programs are now open.

The scholarship programs offer a range of benefits and incentives, including financial support whilst studying and a guaranteed permanent teaching position in a NSW public school upon successful completion of studies.

The programs available to future teachers include:
-  Teach Rural Scholarship: be supported to become a secondary teacher or an inclusive/special education teacher (K - 12) in a rural or remote NSW public school.
- Teacher Education Scholarship: be supported as you study to become a secondary teacher in a high-demand subject area or an inclusive/special education teacher (K - 12) in a NSW public school.
- Teacher Education Scholarship - Aboriginal: Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, be supported while you study an initial teacher education degree to become a primary or secondary teacher in a NSW public school.
- Transition to Teaching Scholarship Program: be supported to study a Master of Teaching (Secondary) and become a secondary teacher in a high-demand subject area.
