Forensic Intervention Services (FIS) is a specialist program area of Corrections Victoria looking for people with experience in psychology, social work, mental health nursing or occupational therapy to join our team of forensic clinicians.
"While the work can be fast-paced and challenging, I am fortunate to have a strong support system in place,’ says Stephanie, Forensic Senior Clinician. The team emphasises wellbeing and professional growth, and I receive excellent clinical and peer supervision, alongside supportive management. ‘The high-risk complex needs team places significant emphasis on self-care, ensuring I can express concerns openly and seek help when needed. This helps me remain at my best as a clinician".
"Recognition and reward for loyalty and high performance are core values here. During my time at FIS, I have been honoured with a clinical scholarship for further studies, which enabled me to complete a Clinical Psychology Post Registration bridging course. I was also awarded a clinical conference scholarship, allowing me to attend the International Association of Forensic Mental Health Services Conference in San Francisco this year. I am currently undertaking Board Approved Supervisor training, funded by FIS, which will enable me to provide clinical supervision in the future as well. Overall, working at FIS has not only enhanced my clinical practice but also strengthened my leadership and problem-solving skills, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to professional excellence and personal growth.’
