An award is a document setting out the minimum terms and conditions of employment for people working in certain industry for a certain employer.

If awards standards are removed due to the changing IR laws employees will be only entitled to four minimum conditions of employment. That applies to all employees across Australia, no matter what their job qualification or level.

Graduates should be equipping themselves for a changed work environment they need not only contract advice but negotiation skills to back them up.
Without a strong knowledge base and confidence in negotiations, graduates can find themselves disadvantaged and left behind.
