There are currently 28,000 students from overseas studying in Scotland.

This could be attributed to their world-renowned reputation for excellence in education with more than half of their high school leavers going onto attend college or university.

In 2004 Scotland's first Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland Scheme commenced. It aims to attract skilled people to work study and live alongside its five million native born Scots.

This is hoped to solve the current skills shortages in a number of industries across Scotland, in the hope that young adults will bolster their workforce.

Fresh Talent is a tool enabling Scotland's businesses to thrive in a competitive global market place and it is opening doors for graduates that would have otherwise remained closed.
