For numerous international students in Australia, the search for employment is a very important matter. However too often students encounter challenges in the workplace.
As part of Law Week, join Study Melbourne to explore methods for safeguarding the work rights of international students. The event will feature a presentation from Gabriella Marchetti Principal Lawyer at JobWatch and the International Student Accommodation and Employment Legal Service (ISEALS).
Study Melbourne will also be joined by Jobs Victoria, The Migrant Workers Centre, and Victoria’s Wage Inspectorate.
If you’re an international student or you work with international students, this discussion will connect you to tailored legal and advocacy services that are available now. You can also arrange for these organisations to visit your campus.
This session will also increase your knowledge of Jobs Victoria’s personalised services that connect international students with decent employment to utilise their skills and experience. Jobs Victoria are now available to meet with international students at the Study Melbourne Hub every Monday.
Event date: Wednesday 17 May
Time: 10am - 11am
