The Study Melbourne Internship Program is offering a group of international students the opportunity to be supported in accessing internship opportunities in 2015.
This program is a great way for international students to:
- Obtain support in accessing internship opportunities (up to 120 hours of work placement)
- Gain an understanding of Australian workplace culture and industry
- Develop professional networks, and
- Improve communication and other employabillity skills
The Career Development Centre will provide support to participants by providing extra-curricular training in:
- Application and interview skills
- Business and communication etiquette
- Occupational health and safety responsibilities
- Resume Writing
Eligibility
- You must be an international student completing either an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree.Study Abroad students (students completing one or two semesters only) are not eligible.
- Have completed 120 credit points (first year level completed)
- Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 60
- Be enrolled in one of the following discipline areas:
- Business (all areas including accounting, commerce, management, marketing, HR)
- Engineering
- IT/computer science;
- International relations / international development
- Not already enrolled or completed a Work Integrated Learning Subject (WIL).
- A good level of verbal and written communication skills in English
