Early Childhood Education Job Interest Register
Have you recently graduated from Early Childhood Education and would like to be notified of job opportunities arising in areas of Victoria where there is a high demand for Early Childhood Educators? Register your details with the Job Interest Register http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NGXJV5N
As a result of population growth across Victoria, Early Childhood qualified teachers are in high demand. In recognition of the demand, there are opportunities for individuals that meet certain requirements to access financial incentives of up to $12,000 if they are appointed to a kindergarten teaching position in an eligible Long Day Care centre (more information on this scheme can be found at: http://www.education.vic.gov.au/careers/earlychildhood/scholarships/incentives.htm).
Recently the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development allocated project funding to increase the supply of kindergarten places across nine local government areas in Victoria:
- The regional areas of Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong;
- The Western Metropolitan Melbourne areas of Brimbank, Hobsons Bay and Wyndham;
- The Sothern Metropolitan areas of Cardinia (Outer) and Glen Eira (Inner); and
- The Northern Metropolitan area of Darebin.
The purpose of the Job Interest Register is to enable the Centre for Community Child Health, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute to notify interested candidates of job opportunities that arise in response to the project funding. These opportunities will be available to any eligible candidate, not just those that have registered and the financial incentive will be advertised if it is available.
While the Job Interest Register is an effective way of notifying potential employers of your interest, it does not guarantee you will be contacted with job opportunities. However the register does make you known and accessible to the job market in your selected areas of interest.
If you wish to register your details, please click on the link, an email address and your areas of interest are all that is required. Your personal details will only be used to send you information about early childhood education positions available in early 2011 that you may be interested in applying for. The record of your personal details will be destroyed in April 2011.
